Scorsese, DeNiro, Pacino, Oh My!

Is a new movie starring from Martin Scorsese, starring Robert Deniro and Al Pacino, THE IRISHMAN. From the movie press release: (its) an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th Century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

And in a sign of the current movie landscape, it will be released in select theaters and at Netflix simultaneously. I’m interested in seeing how Netflix will be marketing the movie. A few years back any movie with those greats working with the legendary Scorsese would have a theatrical run, with the prerequisite movie posters and advertising everywhere.

Check out the trailer – and check out the CGI making DeNiro a couple decades younger. And is that Joe Pesci?
