Mini-Movie Review: “Get Out”

7 Mar

MY SON AND I saw the movie “Get Out” over the weekend and our verdict is: four thumbs up.

Written & directed by Jordan Peele, it’s a thriller/horror movie and it’s also funny – but not in a “Scary Movie” kind of way. It finds its humor in the situations the lead character is in, as well as the over-arching theme of the movie: race and race relations.

I won’t give away any plot details or spoilers, but suffice to say, despite it being obvious, the “twist” in the plot works.
