Jury Duty – Why Not Me?

22 Jun

Friends tell me to consider myself lucky but I feel slighted, frankly.  Because I’ve never been picked for jury duty.

I’m a registered voter, pay property taxes, give blood, occasionally give to charities and generally behave most of the time as an upstanding citizen.

Yet I’ve never been picked to serve on a jury.  Why not me?  At least once a year I’ll read an article on how sitting juries are difficult – people get out of it, the eligible pool is small, demographics, whatever.  And yet here I am, ready and willing to serve our judicial system!

And…nothing.  <crickets>
