I start the day with the Stephanie Miller show – she’s a progressive radio host – from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. The show is filled with snark and irreverence, sometimes its not funny, but its always topical and smart. Her regular, weekly guests, especially Hal Sparks and John Fugelsang are funny and super smart.
From there its on to the Tony Kornheiser podcast via ESPN.com. Its two hours – without commercials – of his daily radio show out of D.C. Brilliant stuff, Tony is a great writer…he’s the co-host of Pardon The Interruption on ESPN, along with another smart writer, Michael Wilbon. Wilbon, and several other sports writers, including Bob Ryan, are regular guests. Its not all sports, as there’s movie reviews and some political stuff with Howard Fineman a regular guest. Great stuff.
If not for those two shows, my days would be pretty boring most of the time.
